Distribution: Western Pacific: Andaman Sea in the eastern Indian Ocean to Fiji, north to Palau, south to the southern Great Barrier Reef.
Diet: Omnivore. In the wild Chrysiptera talboti feeds on zooplankton. Will readily eat all kinds of live, frozen, flake foods and algae. Feed several times a day.

In the wild, the Talbot’s demoiselle inhabits the Western Parific region where it is found in coral-rich areas of seaward reef slopes at depth of 10 – 120 feet. TIt is an hardy fish, good looking, disease-resistant, interesting behaviorally and often available for a good price.
It can be recognised by its purplish to grey body with yellow head and pelvic fins and a large black spot on the dorsal fin.
The ideal aquarium should have a specific gravity between 1.020 and 1.025, a pH of 8.1 to 8.4 and a water temperature between 72 and 78° F. It will do best in a tank with plenty of places to swim and hide. It is really interesting to watch it swim among the rocks in a reef tank.
