Order: Perciformes (perch-likes)

Maximum Lench: 11.8 in.

It will nip at the invertebrates that grow on the live rock and can be employed to clean live rock of glass anemones. Note that is will also eat some of the invertebrates we attempt to maintain in the reef tank.

Additional information:
A little challenging to acclimatise, the Saddled Butterflyfish become quite hardy once it is successfully acclimated. Medium sized specimens tend to acclimate better than tiny individuals or large adults. It is actually know as one of the easier butterflyfish to keep. Its a coral eater so it is best kept with soft corals or in a fish only community tank.

It will do best in a 100 gallon or larger aquarium with plenty of swimming space, places to hide and good water quality.
