Be Your Own Coral Farmer With MyCoralFarm.com

Submitted by AquariumsLife.com on February 12, 2010 – 8:55 amNo Comment

Looking to buy or sell corals? Well don’t look any further! MyCoralFarm.com is a brand new website with the sole purpose of promoting coral propagation for the aquarium trade. In addition to a community forum, the site has its own store where coral farmers can sell their coral frags. The idea here is simple: less import of wild caught corals thus making the reef keeping hobby sustainable.

One of the unique feature of MyCoralFarm.com is that corals are assigned a unique tracking ID. If the new owner decide to frag it again and sell it, we will be able to see the distribution and compare the images so we can identify any changes in the coral and see how it is adapting to the tanks that the different owners own. Here is an image showing how it works.

MyCoralFarm.com is open to anyone and you can sell/buy corals from virtually any country. Sellers have an option to select to which country they will ship to. If you would like to purchase a coral from the site and the seller has not listed your country as a shipping option, you can always send him a private message using the contact seller button.

After only a few months online, 27 sellers are already selling their corals through MyCoralFarm.com. When you’ll visit MyCoralFarm.com, don’t forget to say hello on the forum and to look at their fast growing photo gallery!!
