Salifert Phosphate Test Kit Review

Submitted by AquariumsLife.com on January 4, 2010 – 10:24 amNo Comment

Mardel 5 in 1 Test KitsDESCRIPTION
Salifert Phosphate Test Kit offers highly reliable and informative phosphate measurement crucial for timely corrections. Even in low concentrations, phosphate can compromise water quality as well as the health of aquarium inhabitants. The Salifert Phosphate Test Kit detects phosphate-phosphor in two different ranges. The mid-range test is ideal for routine testing and low range is designed for scrupulous monitoring of reef aquariums. 60 tests. For use in marine, freshwater aquariums, and water garden ponds.

Low Range: 0.01 to 1.0 ppm
Medium Range: 0.02 to 2.0 ppm

REVIEW
I have been using this kit for a few years now and I really like it. The only inconvenient I see is is that the color chart is difficult to read (especially if you have a very low phosphate level). Because of that, it can be difficult to determine to tell if your phosphate level is 0.03 or 0.10.
