Aquarium Systems Sea Clone Protein Skimmer Review

Submitted by AquariumsLife.com on January 2, 2010 – 9:18 amNo Comment

Sea Clone Protein Skimmer ReviewDESCRIPTION
The SeaClone protein skimmer can function as either an external hang-on or internal sump skimmer and comes complete with a Maxi-Jet pump. The tornado-like motion inside the SeaClone protein skimmer removes organic wastes from your aquarium. The SeaClone protein skimmer requires no air stones and is more efficient than air-driven protein skimmers. Available sizes:
-SeaClone 100 is for aquariums up to 100 gallons.
-SeaClone 150 is for aquariums up to 150 gallons.

REVIEW
Let’s say it, you get for what you paid for. A friend bought it as a first skimmer and it was nothing but problems.

Sometime I wonder why most comments I read about it are positive reviews. It’s probably because those review are made by retailers and hobbilist who reviewed it right when they bought it.
After a quick reading on forums, I can tell that many people have had bad experience with this skimmer. Most talk about weak perforance, constant adjustments, skims very little, inefficient, etc.

Even though it is not expensive, don’t waste your money.
Skimmers are important and are something to invest in.
