Activated Tri Base Carbon Review

Submitted by AquariumsLife.com on January 2, 2010 – 10:02 amNo Comment

Activated Tri Base CarbonDESCRIPTION
Contains 3 different carbons in every single pellet, and is used in High Technology Applications. The Tri Base pellets have a stretched absorption scope capable of absorbing an enormous range of pollutants. This breakthrough in carbon technology is used in Medical, Industrial, Environmental, Military, Laboratory and Home applications.

REVIEW
One of the down side of that carbon is the initial cost but I only need a pound to treat 100 Gall and I only need to replace it every 2 months. Seen that way, it’s cheaper than most low grade carbon.
This carbon does an amazing job and I have not bought any other type of carbon since I know about it.
If you try Tri Base Pelletized Carbon, the first thing you’ll notice is the sound in makes when you rince it. It sizzles like soda pop! It is so active, that you must let it soak for at least 24 hours before using it. This is great but because of that, you have to plan using it a day before.
